Seoul 1988 Glow Serum Niacinamide 15% + Yuja

Seoul 1988 Glow Serum Niacinamide 15% + Yuja ✅ What It Is — Description & Purpose

This serum is a brightening + glow-boosting treatment that combines 15% niacinamide (a form of vitamin B3) with Yuja extract (a Korean citrus, rich in vitamin C and antioxidants).

The idea: niacinamide helps fade dark spots, even out skin tone, refine pores, and strengthen the skin barrier; Yuja adds antioxidant + vitamin-C benefits, boosting radiance and helping fight dullness.

It also contains humectants, moisturizing elements, and barrier-supporting ingredients, so it aims not just to brighten but to keep skin hydrated, smooth, and healthy-looking.

Because of its lightweight, fast-absorbing texture, it’s described as suitable for all skin types — oily, combination, dry, or sensitive — and for skin with dullness, uneven tone, or pigmentation issues.

🧴 How to Use It — Routine & Format

Here’s a simple way to use the serum:

Cleanse and tone your face as usual.

Apply 2–3 drops of the serum to your face and neck. Pat gently until absorbed.

Follow with moisturizer to lock in hydration.

In the morning, always add broad-spectrum sunscreen (since brightening actives + vitamin C can make skin more sensitive to sun).

Consistency matters — use it daily (AM &/or PM) for best results.

🎯 What It’s Good For — Skin Concerns & Use Cases

This serum is particularly useful if you have:

Dull, tired-looking skin or skin lacking glow

Uneven skin tone or hyperpigmentation (dark spots, post-acne marks, uneven patches)

Enlarged pores or textured skin — niacinamide helps refine pores and improve texture over time

Oily or combination skin that still needs brightening (because the serum is lightweight and non-greasy)

Skin exposed to sunlight, pollution, or environmental stress — antioxidants from yuja help protect from free-radical damage

In short: It’s good as a daily “glow & even tone” booster for many skin types, especially if you want brighter, more radiant skin.

✅ Pros & What Users / Sources Highlight — Strengths

Strong brightening and glow effect: niacinamide + yuja gives both tone correction and radiance boost.

Lightweight, non-sticky, easily absorbed — comfortable even for humid climates or oily skin.

Helps refine pores and balance oil production — nice if you have combination or oily skin.

Adds moisture and supports skin barrier (so not just brightening, but also nourishing & protecting).

Suitable for most skin types (including sensitive skin), per product info.

⚠️ Considerations & What to Watch Out For

Because of high 15% concentration of niacinamide — if your skin is very sensitive, start slowly (e.g. every other day) to see how it reacts. Some niacinamide guides caution that high concentrations can be more “active.”

Brightening + citrus (vitamin C) — ensure you use sunscreen daily, especially in sunny climates like Nigeria, to prevent new pigmentation.

As with any active serum: avoid overloading your routine with too many strong actives (e.g. strong exfoliating acids + strong brightening + retinoids) on the same day — that can irritate skin.

If you have skin conditions (e.g. eczema, rosacea) — patch-test first because high potency actives can sometimes trigger sensitivity.

🔎 My Suggestion: How to Add It to Your Routine (Given Lagos / Humid Climate)

Because Lagos is often hot and humid — this serum works well because it’s lightweight and non-greasy. Here’s how you could integrate it:

Use it once a day (morning or night) if you are new to active serums; if your skin tolerates, go twice daily.

After cleansing and toning, apply 2–3 drops, pat gently, wait 1–2 min, then follow with light moisturizer and in the morning sunscreen.

If you also use exfoliants or other actives (e.g. retinol, strong acids) — alternate those nights with this serum to avoid over-stimulating skin barrier.

Consistency is key: noticeable brightening / glow may take 3–6 weeks of regular use.

Complement with healthy habits: good hydration, balanced diet, and consistent sleep — external products help more when internal care is good.
