Key points:

Infused with “95% skincare ingredients” (for example polypeptides, ceramides, squalane) to nourish lips.

Provides buildable colour (sheer to more intense) + high-shine finish.

So in short: it’s a tinted lip serum which acts as both treatment and colour/gloss.

Packaging: A tube with an applicator described as “mini-donut applicator” (soft cushiony tip) that gently hugs your lips to apply.

Shade range: At least 6 to 8 shades, with playful names like “Sugar Glaze”, “Cinnamon Sugar”, “Chocolate Frosting”, “Peach Glaze”, “Blueberry Jelly”, “Raspberry Jam”.

Finish: High-shine/glossed. Lightweight non-sticky feel is emphasised.

🎨 Sensory Profile

Appearance/Colour:

Sheer wash of colour that can be built up. For example the shade “Cinnamon Sugar” is described as a “toned-down mauve pink” in Laneige’s description.

The finish is shiny/glaze-like—lips will appear glossy rather than matte.

Because it’s sheer, the final colour will depend on your natural lip tone and how many layers you apply.

Texture/Feel:

Feels like a serum/gloss hybrid: smooth, balm-glossy, with treatment-like comfort.

Not heavy or sticky (brands emphasise non-sticky feel).

The applicator is soft and cushy, giving a bit of bounce in use. (From user reviews)

Sensory Experience / Scent:

Some shades might carry a subtle scent or flavour cue (the donut-inspired naming and product commentary). > “Smells like legit cake.”

Because it is skincare infused for lips, there is also the “serum” feel: more comfort and treatment than a typical gloss.

Finish & Wear-Feel:

High shine/gloss finish.

Because it’s face-care oriented for lips, it also claims to visibly plump lips via polypeptides.

Not as intense or long-wear as matte lipstick; more like gloss/tinted balm with care benefits.

👗 Wears & Suggestions

When to wear:

Ideal for everyday wear: when you want something that gives colour + shine but also cares for your lips.

Great for times when you want the look of a gloss (shine) but also want comfort and hydration.

Because of the glossy nature, you can also use it for evenings, especially if you like a “juicy lip” look instead of a flat matte.

How to wear / styling tips:

Apply it alone: one swipe gives a light gloss-tint. Two or more layers build more colour.

Use it over a lipstick: For more depth, apply a matte or coloured lip base then top with this serum for shine + moisture.

Choose the shade according to your skin tone:

If you have deeper skin tones, some of the richer shades (e.g., “Chocolate Frosting”) will show more.

On lighter skin tones, a shade like “Sugar Glaze” might act as a nude gloss.

Pair with minimal eye makeup if you want the lip to be the focus. Or go for warm-toned eye makeup/cheek to match the warm gloss.

Outfit/Occasion matching:

Because the product has a glossy finish and warm/neutral shades, it pairs nicely with autumn/winter tones: camel, olive, rust, chocolate.

For a more professional/polished look: simple liner + gloss can elevate.

For status: Because it is skincare infused, you can treat it like a lip treatment during the day and add it into your routine as both makeup + care.

🛠 Helpful Tips

Before applying:

Exfoliate your lips if you have dry or flaky lips—glossy finishes tend to highlight texture.

Use a lip-balm if your lips are very dry as base.

Application tips:

Use the applicator tip to gently glide the product across your lips; you can dab extra in the centre for more shine.

If you have pigmented lips, you might need more than one coat to see the tint. Some users mention that very pigmented lips reduce the visible colour.

For clean edges, use a lip liner first if you want more defined look.

Re-application / maintenance:

Because it is glossy, it may transfer easily (onto cups, etc). Reapply after eating/drinking if you want the shine to remain.

At night, remove thoroughly (especially because of the active skincare ingredients) to avoid pigment or residue build-up.

Storage & care:

Keep the tube upright if possible. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct heat (especially for us in Lagos, Nigeria; heat may affect product consistency).

Make sure the cap is tightly closed to prevent drying out or leakage. The brand warns: “Please close the cap until you hear a click, or the lip serum may leak.”

Choosing the shade:

You’ll want to see a swatch if possible – swatches on your skin tone or your lips can help judge how much the colour shows.

Because it’s sheer, the end look will vary by natural lip colour; if your lips are very pigmented, you may see less of the shade.

If you want more visible colour (for deeper/medium skin tones), choose richer shades; if you want more subtle gloss effect, opt for lighter/nude tones.

Potential caveats:

Though it has treatment benefits, it is still a gloss/tint; if you want high pigment matte lipstick performance, this may not deliver that level.

Some users mention the wear time isn’t extremely long (they still like it, but it’s not like a long-wear matte lipstick) > “Wear is not so great but we need it?”

If you’re very sensitive to fragrance, check the ingredient list: it does include “Fragrance / Parfum”.
