Nivea Refreshing Soft Moisturizing Cream (200ml)

What It Is / Key Features
The official name is NIVEA Soft — a highly refreshing moisturizing cream.

It’s made for everyday use on the face, hands, and body.
The formula is lightweight, fast-absorbing, and non-greasy.
Key active or helpful ingredients:
Vitamin E — a well-known antioxidant, helps moisturize and protect skin.

Jojoba Oil — helps with skin nourishment and gives a soft, smooth feel.

Dermatologically tested for skin compatibility.

According to recent Beiersdorf (the parent company) reports, the newer formula hydrates for up to 48 hours.
Ingredients / Safety Notes
Some important ingredients to note:

Aqua, Glycerin: for hydration.

Paraffinum Liquidum (mineral oil) — helps lock in moisture, but can feel a bit “occlusive” for some. Nivea ME

Alcohol Denat. — present in the formula.

Fragrance (Parfum) and several perfume components like Limonene, Linalool, etc.

Phenoxyethanol — used as a preservative. Nivea ME

Implications / Advice:

Because of the mineral oil and glycerin, it can form a slightly occlusive layer, which some users say feels like a “mask” on the skin. Reddit

The presence of fragrance means it might irritate very sensitive or reactive skin.

There are reported issues with the new vegan formula — some users feel a stinging or burning sensation. Reddit+1

For acne-prone or very oily skin, use less; some report clogged pores. Reddit

Always patch test, especially if you’re sensitive to fragrance or occlusive ingredients.

Pros / Benefits

Very hydrating: good for keeping skin soft and supple.

Light but effective: the cream is rich yet doesn’t feel overly heavy.

Multipurpose: can be used on face, body, hands — great value. KADZ BEAUTY

Long-lasting formula (new version) claims 48-hour hydration. beiersdorf.com

Trusted brand: Nivea is well-known, and this is a classic staple for many.

Potential Downsides / Considerations

The occlusive nature (because of mineral oil) might feel “heavy” or like a film, especially on warm days or oily skin.

Fragrance may not suit very sensitive or eczema-prone skin.

Some users don’t like the new vegan reformulation, citing burning or discomfort. Reddit

Not “active” in the sense of skin-brightening or treating acne — it’s primarily a hydrating cream.

Might not be ideal under heavy sunscreen or makeup because of the slightly thicker texture.

My Verdict / Recommendation
Good pick if you want a reliable, very moisturizing everyday cream.

Particularly useful for normal to dry skin, or for parts of the body that need a richer moisturizer.

If you have very oily or acne-prone skin, use a thin layer or try to patch first.

If you’re sensitive to fragrance or have reactive skin, be cautious — maybe test a small amount.

Because of the occlusiveness, it might be better at night or in cooler weather, but works fine for day too if your skin tolerates it.
